During the first appointment, Dr. Teel, or Dr. Gilbert will perform a thorough exam, listen to your concerns, and outline a cosmetic treatment plan to fit your needs. After a plan has been solidified, our dentists will prep your teeth by removing a very small amount of enamel, to allow a close and comfortable fit.
To assist the lab technicians in designing your beautiful veneers, our dentists will apply a soft material to your teeth and then sculpt the models. This important step provides our Master Ceramist with a model of the exact shape and dimension of your smile, and is what sets us a part from other dental offices.
Next, the dentist will take an impression of your smile and send the mold, along with the sculpted model, to our dental lab for your veneers to be carefully designed. In most cases, it typically takes about three weeks to fabricated, so we will provide you with temporaries while you wait. During this time, our dentists will be in close contact with the lab, making sure your porcelain veneers are designed to meet your expectations.
In the second appointment, the dentist will prep your teeth with a mild solution and use composite resin to permanently bond the veneers. Finally, a special curing light will harden the resin. Once the procedure is complete, and your new smile has been revealed, you can enjoy beautiful, flawless, natural-looking results for decades.
